MISSION STATEMENT
Scams, rip-offs and frauds are becoming more and more commonplace. In
Australia, state government Fair Trading agencies are becoming more
and more impotent in tackling these matters, it appears some would rather
put more effort into finding excuses not to tackle the matters, than
actually tackling them, which in fact serves to assist the scammers
by granting them impunity. Fair-Trading.com.au is about addressing the
situation.

AVON partners up with Ready Flowers RIP-OFF
Ready Flowers is not a real florist as it does
not provide the flowers order.
Using pictures of fake silk flowers as bait, Ready Flowers hi-jacks
orders that would normally go to a real florist, fraudulently
devalues the orders and then sells the orders back to a real florist
whilst retaining a margin of up to 80%.
This is : "THE READY FLOWERS DIFFERENCE"
CONSUMER ORDERS $90-00
ARRANGEMENT
 & PAYS READY
FLOWERS :
$90-00
UNKNOWN TO THE CONSUMER, READY FLOWERS DEVALUES
THE ORDER BY :
$21-00 (a
fraud on the consumer)
| |
-----------------------------------
Sub-total :
$69-00
$69-00 |
THEN READY FLOWERS TAKES A COMMISSION (approx
47% of $69-00) :
$32-00
| |
------------ |
TOTAL TO SUPPLIER FLORIST TO PROVIDE THE $90-00
$69-00 ARRANGEMENT
 :
$37-00 |
TOTAL TO READY FLOWERS :
$53-00 |
Considering that Ready Flowers is also offering
a FREE AVON Bonus Product to the consumer with this purchase (i.e.
In Bloom Fragrance), the resultant $37-00 total to the
supplier florist may even be lower in order to maintain the profit
margin of the Ready Flowers obscene rip-off.
The above calculation is further substantiated and corroborated by 2008/2009
factual data contained in approximately 350 original Ready Flowers orders
to supplier florists. Some of that data is published HERE
and at READY FLOWERS
REVIEW. All the original documents are in the possession of Fair-Trading.com.au
and are to be filed in the COURT.

RE : Ready Flowers AVON promo - Purple Disbud Chrysanthemums @
http://www.readyflowers.com.au/Flowers/Avon-In-Bloom/Charming/
I am a wholsale flower merchant and get around the flower markets
& growers a lot. I don't recall seeing these purple disbuds. How
are Ready Flowers supplier florists all around Australia supposed
to source these flowers?

Pete, if the flowers are fake to start with, it's my guess that Ready
Flowers (not being a real florist) is blissfully out of touch and
unaware that they are not available. I guess they can make whatever
misrepresentions they like considering the following published substitution
policy:
| Substitutions: Variance between our website
illustrations and available flowers is sometimes unavoidable.
Flower type and/or colour substitutions are sometimes necessary.
Our experienced florists use their judgment if variations are
required and these are carried out to equal or greater value. |

Obviously, this is an attempt to cleanse the Ready Flowers image.
If AVON go along with it, AVON is no better than the Ready Flowers
ripoff merchant.
