TASMANIA, THE PRETENDER STATE
MONOCULTURE FORESTRY INVESTMENTS
South Esk River Catchment Investment, NE Tasmania

INVESTORS... this is what they don't want you to see!!
South Esk River Catchment
Nature responds to being vandalised.
Tasmania is in the Roaring Forties.... it's a windy place.
Monoculture investor plantations with no native forest protection
(because it's been clearfelled see Weld Hill or Festivale), are blown over like matchsticks.

Artificial Monoculture Pine Tree crops are most unstable, as you can see here, they can become a loss - financial write off investment within hours from one strong wind.
The expected profit will be 'super slim' when most of the trees end up in smoke, or only as marginal woodchips, just splintered waste, or due to insects attack borers, discoloured by blue fungal and wood rot. From a hydrology point of view these rotation tree crops are a disaster.
